"For his particular qualities, this Rolex watch is perfectly suitable to aviation and in the future I mean to use it on all my long-range flights." These are the words of the English aviator Charles Douglas Barnard, talking about the Oyster from the 30's.

At Baselworld 2016, Rolex has presented the new Oyster Perpetual Air-King, a watch that celebrates the aviation pioneers and the Oyster's role in the aviation world. On the black dial stands out the name Air-King, written in the typical font designed for this model in the 50's. The big hours reference numbers, 3, 6 and 9, and the minutes' scale in the foreground to read the navigation times stand out.

The new Air-King has a 3131 calibe, a mechanical movement with automatic winding and a Perpetual rodor modul, which boasts a 48 hours autonomy. The 40 mm case, with a magnetic screen, guaranteed as water-resistant to 100 mt, boasts the certification of Excellent Chronometer defined by Rolex in 2015 and represented by the green seal. This exclusive title guarantees that the watch has passed several tests, conducted by Rolex in its labors and guarantees its excellent performance on the wrist, as regards precision (-2/+2 sec/day), water-resistance, automatic winding and autonomy.

The carrure, with its typical lines, is obtained from a massive block of 904L corrosion-resistant steel. The ribbed back cover is hermetically screwed with a specific tool that lets only Rolex watchmakers access the movement. The winding crown, provided with the Twinlock system of dual waterproofing, is well screwed in the case. The sapphire glass is anti-scratch.

The Air-King is combined with the 904L steel mesh Oyster bracelet. Equipped with the clasp folding system Oysterclasp, this bracelet has fast extension mesh Easylink, that allows you to easily adjust the bracelet length about 5mm for extra comfort in any circumstance.

Bedetti, official Rolex dealer, awaits you at its sale point in Piazza San Silvestro to show the whole new collection of Baselworld 2016.
