Baume & Mercier and Carroll Shelby Licensing Inc. - the company which produced the famous car Cobra - have recently joined to realize a new watch collection dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

"Our companies share many fundamental values. Both of them took part in important competitions since the earliest days of their history and won prestigious victories […] the result of the commitment to build original products with a timeless design and to improve them, by always proving them. Our common search for perfection is proved by the quality and the homemade production of all our creations."

These words by Neil Cummings, Carroll Shelby Licensing's CEO, summarize the passion behind this project, which will give life to a collection of elegant timekeepers designed in limited edition by Baume & Mercier. The Capeland Shelby Cobra will be part of the Capeland collection and will be revealed during the year by the historic Swiss Maison, that this year celebrates its 185° anniversary.

These new watches will enclose the spirit and the power of the Cobra, without suffering the loss of the absolute elegance of the lines, the quality and the attention to detail.
All this is realized thanks to Baume & Mercier's "savoir faire", whose watchmaking tradition is the result of their farsighted founders' commitment and which encloses the brand's philosophy in the constant commitment to improve.
