Baume & Mercier at SIHH 2018 launches the Baumatic caliber
Among the novelties of the latest SIHH 2018 the first caliber of Baume & Mercier manufacture called: Baumatic.
The result of a long work between the historic Maison, born as comptoir horloger (watch shop) in 1830, and other companies of the Richemont Group, to which it belongs since 1988, the Baumatic caliber resists magnetic fields, has a long autonomy and offers more efficient performance and greater accuracy throughout the duration of the power reserve.
Recently this new caliber has been applied to the Clifton Baumatic collection. Born from the combination of traditional style and modern design, the Clifton collection includes men's watches inspired by the fifties of the timepiece.
But let's see in detail the features of the new Clifton Baumatic 10436 certified COSC.
The 40 mm thick steel case, 10.3 mm thick, houses the new Baumatic BM12-1975A with a 120-hour power reserve, obtained thanks to a barrel with special alloy elements. The escapement on board is governed by the proprietary technology called Powerscape and also present a silicon spiral called Twinspir. Topped with a domed sapphire crystal, the sober and legible dial is characterized by the "porcelain" finish and is animated by elongated lateral indexes, chemin de fer minidrams in anthracite gray or white, thin hands and magnified date at three o'clock. The sapphire crystal caseback shows the perforated oscillating weight with Côtes de Genève and colimaçon decorations.
The Cliumton Baumatic is completed by an alligator strap with a pin buckle. The strap is interchangeable without the need for tools and is available in three colors: blue, black or brown. This is complemented by a polished / satin five-row steel bracelet with triple-locking folding clasp.
Bedetti, the official Baume & Mercier dealer, awaits you at its store in Piazza San Silvestro to show you all the new collection.
