Among the latest news launched by Breitling, we hit its first capsule collection called: Navitimer 1 Airline Edition. A collection that celebrates the fundamental role of the Saint-Imier brand in the golden age of commercial aviation.

The collection began with the celebration of Swissair, followed by Pan Am and TWA, two of the major airline companies of the twentieth century.
In the 1950s and 1960s, commercial aviation boomed unprecedentedly and Breitling played a key role: its onboard chronographs first became standard on propeller aircraft and then on jets. In 1952 the Breitling Navitimer was introduced and soon became the favorite wristwatch for aviators flying with mythical aircraft such as the Boeing 707 and the Douglas DC8. The Navitimer was equipped with a circular slide rule that allowed pilots to perform all the basic calculations they might need in flight.

"These Airline Edition - declared Georges Kern CEO of Breitling - are a new capsule collection that will be produced only for a limited period of time and therefore also in volumes."

The Navitimer 1 B01 Chronograph 43 Swissair Edition, Pan Am Edition and TWA Edition are powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 with a power reserve of around 70 hours. A chronograph movement, COSC certified, self-winding with sorting of the chronograph by means of a column wheel and vertical grafting.
All watches are equipped with a bi-directional rotating bezel with a circular slide rule, which is used to perform all calculations related to air navigation. The stick hands give the watches a contemporary interpretation of a classic look.

Bedetti, official Breitling dealer, waits for you in its sales point to show you the whole collection of the brand with the winged logo.
