Hublot and Bolt together for the charity auction Only Watch
Only Watch is a unique piece watch auction created by Luc Pettavino, president and co-founder of AMM (Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies) to support research on the treatment of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. It takes place every two years and in the six editions from 2005 to date it has collected over 25 million Euros to finance numerous scientific research programs.
Only Watch 2017 will be the most important charity event for watchmaking. This year's Sponsor Hublot and Usain Bolt joined to give the most of this noble cause. "I'm happy to have always been able to use the power of my muscles," said Bolt, "that allowed me to make several world records." "Now I am happy to help those who have the weakest muscles, and scientific medical research on neuromuscular diseases."
For Only Watch 2017 the Nyon manufactory offered a unique Big Bang Sapphire: Gold for victory and green for hope.
The Hublot Big Bang Unique Sapphire Usain Bolt Only Watch 2017 has a 45mm glossy sapphire case with skeleton dial and various yellow gold 18k details. It has a transparent rubber strap, but there is also a second in yellow-gold leather. The counter at 9 o'clock shows the silhouette of the Fulmine Bolt with its iconic victory sign.
One piece accompanied by a PUMA T-shirt signed by Bolt. In the Only Watch auction, lots are usually made up of luxury watches. To be able to participate in Only Watch 2017, of course, the watch must be a unique piece or the first specimen of a limited edition. Each batch of the auction will be awarded to the best bidder and the proceeds. This seventh edition of Only Watch 2017 will be in partnership with the Christie's auction house, which with its 80 specialized departments will support both the award and the logistics of the event.
