IWC launches three new models from its Pilot's Watch collection
The Pilot's Watch is one of the most beloved models of the house of Schaffhausen, not surprisingly it has been declined and reinterpreted in many versions.
Following its inspiration from the world of aeronautics, IWC has recently launched three new watches in this collection: the Big Pilot's Watch Annual Calendar Edition "Antoine de Saint Exupéry", the Pilot's Watch Mark XVIII Heritage and the Big Pilot's Watch Heritage.
The first dedicated to the French pilot author of the "Little Prince" is a special edition limited to 250 copies. The 46.2 mm case is in 18-carat red gold and mounts the 52850 caliber with a Pellaton charging system with virtually wear-free ceramic components that ensures a 7-day power reserve. The annual calendar displays the month, date and day in 3 separate windows. The data exchange mechanism takes into account the duration of the individual months and must be corrected manually using the crown only once a year, at the end of February. The rotor is in 18-carat red gold and has the shape of a Lightning P-38 aircraft on which the famous pilot took off for the flight on the Mediterranean from which he has not returned. The dial is tobacco brown and the golden hands. The brown calfskin strap with decorative white stitching is reminiscent of the aviator suits of the Saint-Exupéry era.
The Pilot's Watch Mark XVIII Heritage has a retro design and presents for the first time the iconic Pilot's Watch Mark XVIII in a 40 mm diameter titanium case. The new model features a black dial with numbers printed in beige and blue coated with luminescent material.
The Big Pilot's Watch Heritage by IWC incorporates the design of the historic Big Pilot's Watch from the 1940s
It is available in two versions: titanium with black dial and blue hands coated with luminescent material and in bronze with black dial and blue hands. Both have a 46.2 mm case that houses the IWC 52110 caliber with Pellaton charging system and a 7-day battery life, indicated by a 3 o'clock display.
All three timepieces are equipped with a soft iron inner case that keeps the movement protected from magnetic fields and the sapphire crystal on all models is designed to be insensitive to any sudden drops in pressure in the cockpit.
Bedetti, IWC official dealer, is waiting for you at its store in Piazza San Silvestro to show you the entire collection of the new Pilot's Watch by the Schaffhausen brand.
