Longines presents the Avigation Big Eye
The watches of the Longines Heritage collection were born to celebrate the aviation pioneer companies who have been using the tools of the Saint-Imier Maison since the beginning of this discipline.
Today's collection expands with Avigation BigEye, a designer chronograph inspired by design at the time when they dominated aviation watches. A faithful military watch reproduction of the chronographs worn by the pilots with an extremely readable dial on which the thirty minute counter is displayed at three o'clock. The pump buttons are very large and protruding from the carrots, allowing the wearer to handle all the functions even with the gloves.
The Longines Avigation BigEye is an automatic charging chronograph with function sorting by column wheel and is moved by the L688.2 Caliber derived from the ETA A08.L01 movement. The 4 Hz frequency is 28,800 alternating hours and charging reserve and 54 hours.
The case is round 41 mm in steel, the glass is sapphire bowed with anti-reflection multilayer treatment.
The dial is semi-brilliant black with 9 Arabic numerals coated with SuperLuminova and indicates the small seconds at 9 o'clock and the 12 o'clock counter to six o'clock. The hands are rhodium plated and coated with SuperLuminova. The thirty minute meter at three o'clock is characteristic and from this particular comes the name "BigEye". The strap is made of brown calf leather with buckle.
In short, a classic vintage watch, suitable for everyone and every occasion. Official Longines Maison watch dealer is waiting for you at its San Silvestro Square store to introduce you its new collection: watches from the ultra-centennial tradition and timeless elegance.
