The Sölden ski area located in the Ötz valley in Tyrol is the first stop of the FIS World Cup. A must for those who love winter sports and to announce the seasons novelties.

Longines is part of the alpine ski family since 1933, and this year introduced a major innovation in terms of timing technology and data analysis.

We are talking about a chip attached to the skier's boot, equipped with a radar and a motion sensor. This sensor will enable real-time observation of the athletes’ speed, acceleration, deceleration and time to 100 kph and allows analyzation of the length of the jumps.

Data will be presented in form of real-time graphics available for spectators both on the slopes and at home, increasing both performance and the fan’s experience.

The teams and athletes can analyze their performance further in detail through the data.
This innovation will be introduced at the World Cup in St. Moritz, scheduled 6 to 19 February 2017, where Longines is the official Partner and Timekeeper.

Bedetti, official Longines dealer, awaits you in their store in Piazza San Silvestro to show you the whole new collection.
