Breitling and the Frecce Tricolori
Since its foundation, Breitling has specialized in the production of precision watches and wrist devices for aviators. After collaborating with the RAF - the UK’s Royal Air Force - and with the US Air Force in 1983, thanks to the will of the owner Ernest Schneider's father Théodore Schneider, current President of Breitling, the first chronograph for the PAN (national aerobatic display team of the Italian Aeronautica Militare) was produced, on which’s black dial was the symbol of the Frecce Tricolori.
The latest Chronomat 44 personalized with the colors of PAN is a limited edition of just 1000 copies and incorporates the same unique design of that time. Black dial, silver numbers with red hands. The formations logo is at 12 o'clock. The case-back is engraved with the silhouette of the ten aircraft of the squadron. The ultra-rugged stainless steel case and bezel with black rubber figures stands out for its satin finished top and gloss on the lugs. Waterproof up to the exceptional depth of 500 meters, the watch is cased in a Breitling calibre 01 with the high-performance chronograph movement entirely developed and produced by Breitling and certified by the COSC.
We arrived in 2016 and, even on the Emergency II, delivered to eleven PAN pilots, there is the formation´s logo. These Breitling timepieces are precisely designed into every detail and are subject to numerous quality controls to face intensive use even in extreme conditions.
Bedetti, official Breitling dealer, awaits you in their shop to admire the entire collection of the brand with the winged logo.
