Located in the central Piazza San Silvestro, near Parliament House and the Trevi Fountain, Bedetti is part of the Historical Shops of Excellence in Rome, an association of names that, over time, have been able to represent the best spirit of Roman entrepreneurship with genuine passion and professionalism.
Today the head of the company is Massimo Bedetti, one of the leading international experts in the field of gemology, supported by his sons Marcello and Stefano; their task is meeting the challenges of modernity, while preserving the values of a great tradition, which began over a century ago with Antonio Bedetti, the former director of the Santa Cecilia Orchestra, he contributed to designing the water clock on the Pincio, created in 1867 by the Dominican monk Giambattista Embriaco. In the field of watchmaking the name Bedetti is closely linked to that of Rolex, thanks to a long and constructive cooperation.
The laboratory is the core of the Flagship store in Piazza San Silvestro.
The watchmaking laboratory of authorized by Rolex is one of the most famous and competent in Italy. It is equipped with innovative tools for the control, maintenance and repair of each type of high range watch, including the Vibrograph Time Analysis machine, tools to perform water resistance tests, a machine for ultrasonic cleaning, and a lathe.
Bedetti watchmakers attend regular courses on new calibers at the Swiss manufactures, and are available to customers for advice and price quotes.
The Gemological Laboratory - directed by Massimo Bedetti, who holds a Gemologist diploma from GIA in Los Angeles and is the founder of the Italian Gemological Institute, is equipped with the latest tools for the analysis of precious stones: from the electron microscope to a colorimeter, a spectroscope and electrical conductivity tester.
It provides complete gemological analysis. Next to the laboratory is the show room which displays a collection of raw gems, touchstones, pictures and diamond cutting machines unique in Italy.
The goldsmith laboratory is where Bedetti’s collections of gold and jewelry are designed. They manufacture custom jewelry to specific customer requirements, including solitaire and wedding rings.
Bedetti has been creating exclusive jewelry since the '60s.
Our jewelry is exclusive because the stars of our creations have always been gemstones that are carefully selected at the extraction sites and trade centers by the Bedetti family.
In this sense, every piece of jewelry is unique, as are the gems that make it up, because none can be the same as another. The jewelry design is centered around the gemstones, looking for the best way to express the stones’ full potential of precious.
For this reason, we invite you to view our collections because no photo can do justice to these precious creations directly or capture all the nuances of these beautiful, timeless objects. Bright colors and elegant design, but modern style. The greatest attention to detail, confident of the great power that the real made-in-Italy has in the world.
The purchase of a watch or a piece of jewelry can mark the special moments of our lives. And that is why it should be chosen with care and treated with care.
It is this thought that inspires the special attention that Bedetti offers to its customersat the time of purchase and later, when the watch or jewelry comes back to the shop for normal service or a repair.
Alongside traditional store services are new ones such as wedding lists, online sales of some collections of watches and the so-called second wrist section for the guaranteed purchase of previously owned quality watches.
