Snowflake

This Spring Drive model is produced and hand-mounted in the Shinshu Watch Studio, at high altitude in the mountains of Nagano Prefecture, in the central region of Japan. Like every winter, when snow falls, bright solid crystals form, which sparkle in the sunlight and, driven by the freezing wind, create delicate patterns, floating in the dry, pungent air. This effect is masterfully captured in the dial, whose brilliant whiteness hides a secret: it is not painted white, but is obtained through a special silver plating process, which allows such perfect reproduction of the very delicate structure of the snow.
